Does anyone know the percentage of people who get in to pharmacy school's without their bachelors.

I ‘am currently going to CSUN and majoring in kinesiology, I have almost finished my prerequisites except for Organic chemistry and physics. Is it worth applying to pharmacy school at this time?

Some feedback would be nice..........Thank you

Honestly, it depends on the school. I know that many colleges down here in the southeastern U.S. do not require a B.S. degree but I would almost bet the farm that ALL colleges would give you more consideration if you did have one prior to matriculation. I would start a good pre-pharm program but have a degree in mind so you can work towards getting the pre-reqs. done as well as making progress on the desired degree.

Yes! I forgot to mention that you needed to take the PCAT if possible...well I guess you would have to if your schools require it!

It varies from school to school, it's impossible to give you a direct answer because we don't know which pharmacy schools you are applying to. You can also look up this data for previous years on the schools website - if you do research it wil say how many people they accepted previously w/out a BS/BA degree.

I want to apply to southern California schools, which to my knowledge don’t require the pcat.

Is it worth taking the pcat if the school you are applying to does not require it?

USC recommends it now. I believe it's the first year that they are doing that. I suggest you expand you choice of schools if u want to get in without a degree. Apply to newer schools as well.
