Back to basics WW again

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm always afraid of being wolf-killed if I become too bold, but I see it's obviously not helping the village if I keep my mouth shut.
I'd personally always rather be night killed than wrongly lynched. Aggressive people only die because they stand out... if everyone plays balls to the walls it becomes much less noteworthy.

I'm frankly a little annoyed and suspicious of the people who are justifying their vote for you on my opinion

Sorry. If I felt less like death, I'd try to reread to pick between my top three independently. But honestly, I am 100% happy lynching any of them, and if you think you'll get more useful info out of an AM lynch, that seemed like a decent swing point in the absence of mental capacity to close-read for additional clues.

This feels...odd...to me after gunning hard for nessie earlier on. My vote's staying where it is based on other posts & voting positions, but it's a notable swing.

I'll do what I can now until lynch closes, but I promise you'll see a more aggressive and interactive AM in the next game.

Official Lynch Tally
Nessie 6 -
pippy, WZ, AM, Abs, 3m, serher
Finn 2 - LIS, kcough
AM 8 - trilt, Nessie, snow, ally, Finn, cyndia, coop, confusing

Fair enough. Wolves get stomach viruses, too.

Question about the whole 1 kill vs 2 kill thing- could the one night kill be some wolf using their ability the second be the regular wolf kill and that it was only one night kill because conversions occurred? I know some people were thinking conversions might actually be in play in this game since both Jil and Raf were saying at the beginning that they didn’t think conversions would be in this game. I don’t know if that could possibly explain the 1 vs 2 night kills, but it’s just an idea I had.

I pretty much have assumed conversions are in play since the beginning. Conversions are so common that I don't think it's unreasonable to consider it a 'basic' part of the game.

I'm kind of being lured toward the nessie lynch on peoples' justifications, but I still think if AM flipped wolf it would give us much more info (because she had early lynch votes for both finn and nessie).

Hm. I didn't really consider that - my vote is sitting on Finn because that's where I feel more sketch.

Hm.

I mean, I did call her out on it and explained why I felt it was super wofly. So seems a bit sketch she's now withdrawing from it, without ever acknowledging my comments. But that's just my 2¢ lol.

Okay got to reading through finn and confusings posts.

Confusing had very similar thoughts about people and situations as I have had (and not just posting those thoughts after I or someone else posted them) so I will put her in my village pile for now.

Finn actually seems leaning village too. She has posted suspicions that seem legit and not copying other people and not fishing for reasons. Things that still make me a suspicious: she wanted to hold off on the raf lynch because she said raf always seemed sketch to her. And during the Zen lynch she said this which is probably just a waffley villager quote, but considering they were both wolves is a bit suspicious.

I'm leaning toward lynching Zen because I agree that the block choices were odd.
Could also go in the direction of Jil but I think I need to go back and look at some of her posts again.
Will hold off on lynching at the moment since it appears we're close to plurality now and I'm leaning toward Zen.

I'll get to you tomorrow.

I know, but people were trying to come up with reasons why there were 2 vs 1 kills on the nights and I was just posting my idea.

Like I said earlier, I'm going to

Lynch AM

Was traveling to an interview in Illinois today and just got back from dinner with the son of my dad's friend who goes here, so that's why I am just now voting. I know, I know, real life doesn't matter. I posted my thoughts earlier but held off on voting in case anything came up while I had been gone.

doesn't count

You have lynched AM

A wolf 1-shot vigilante.

Haha I had the exact same thought -- "what was she telling me?!"

She liked my post about Ally's vote for AM being weird.

Although...AM was a wolf, so I'm not sure if Ally would have been voting that way.

Sorry, that wasn't very clear. Trilt liked a pair where I questioned Ally's vote to lynch AM, since ally had been gunning hard for Nessie before that.

And, I'm not sure how to interpret that because AM turned out to be a wolf, so if Ally was also a wolf, I'd think she would have gone for a Nessie vote instead.

I'm also surprised that the wolves didn't kill Trilt off before today. But they probably didn't know she was the seer. Now I know why she was upset that we were all giving her such strong village reads early on. She didn't want to be killed off early because she was one of our best PRs.

If we are to assume 5 wolves, I think the last one we would be looking for a godfather role which comes up village with seer investigation and may or may not be immune to other types of investigation (tracker/watcher/etc) so just be aware of that if you have a power role or are reviewing trilt's posts. The other option the wolves could have an role seer, but I would have guessed they would have seered trilt earlier on because she came up village on so many peoples lists.

So when nessy said it was suspicious of me to vote for AM rather than nessy, the vote was already 6 nessy - 8 AM, with me on the 8 side. If I'd waffled to nessy, that would have left them tied, 7-7. And nessy voted for AM early in the day, not just out of self-preservation. Why on earth would a villager encourage me to lynch them, rather than being happy I was lynching the person that villager thought was a wolf? Whereas a wolf would have two motives for getting me to vote for her: 1) I think Nessie is a goon (vanilla) wolf, and keeping AM alive another day would add to the "who did the second N4 kill" confusion and 2) there was some chance that pippy would see my waffle as wolfy, and there would be a last-minute pile-on to me, saving both AM and nessy.

So my vote for this day cycle is 100% going to be on nessy. Not voting right at the moment, because discussion is good, but she's the wolf I want dead next.

Other preliminary thoughts from the color-coded lynch tally:
- I can't see anything in the shifting vote patterns that makes me think any of ski / confusing / coop are a wolf, but the D1 lynch was so close so late that I'd be really surprised if there were no wolves there. If I had to pick one of the 3, at this point I lean more coop. Moving coop to maybe wolf from village, moving the other two to maybe village from village.
- I can go with LIS' theory that D1 voting clears WZ. Moving her from maybe wolf to maybe village.

And why she was grumpy we were all following her lead on AM.

Any reason you're thinking 5, rather than 6?

I thought someone said there were 5 wolves in Dy's last basic game, but I could totally be remembering that wrong. And I didn't think there had been any conversions, because wolves can't convert and kill the same night can they?

This is not necessarily true. Probably would be good if someone looked back at the last basics game to see if kills/conversions could happen the same night. I would but I'm just on a lunch break.

I'm inclined to think they can kill/convert the same night because with 4 wolves down it seems like a bad move to be sitting on a conversion opportunity. So I would expect them to have used it by now.

Please quote where I *encouraged* you to vote for me. I merely said it was sketchy that you weren't voting for me, since you had been going after me so hard earlier. Based on my previous comment, the fact you essentially waffled on voting for me after I called you out for being wolfy (because it would be easy to lead a lynch brigade against me, the sketchy-seeming villager), without ever addressing my comment, is super suspicious. You still haven't addressed my comment, in fact.

I would also like to point out that I have been suspicious of AM since Day 2, voting for her that day as well. So yeah my vote for AM wasn't out of self-preservation, it was because I believed she was a wolf. Even if I'm up for a potential lynch, I'm still going to vote for who I think is a wolf, because it doesn't help the village for me to vote purely out of self-preservation if I believe the other person may be village. Because then either way a villager will die. I was suspicious of AM, so I voted for her. Turns out my suspicions were correct. I would also like to point out that SAR (a now deceased vanillager) had similar suspicions as early as Day 2.

I find you very sketchy. So you're the wolf I'd like dead next.

I agree with this.

Last one was 28 players, five wolves (no converts).

Wolf seer, blocker, strongman and two vanilla wolves.

Village had a tracker, bodyguard, two masons, a seer and vigilante, then all others vanilla I think (may be missing one, I'm looking at the last roster I can find).

This is why I'm guessing 5 original wolves. Yeah then I would assume a convert already from what you guys are saying. I just didn't realize it could happen in the same night as a kill without special ability/items.
