Back to Under Review after Interview

Hello fellow future dentists!!

Even though this is my first post, I have been on this website and researching for a long time...U know, gotta pass the time somehow!

Anyways, I have received some mixed reviews, but I have come to the final conclusion of "Dont think too much into it." Question: Just had an interview at UPitt, and my status from AADSAS went from "Invited to Interview" to "Received/Under Review." Does that mean I am "waitlisted" even though final decision is not till Dec. 1. Anyone get the same thing and got an acceptance after, or got waitlisted?

One more question...is it possible to get rejected after an interview because of stats even though that is how u got the interview to begin in the first place?

there would be no point in interviewing people if they weren't going to review you one more time afterward. everyone gets reviewed after an interview so it doesn't mean that you are wait listed. UCSF changed my status after the interview too. I've also read some similar posts regarding this. I think all it means is that these particular schools update AADSAS more than other schools.

Pitt changed my status back to "Received/Under Review" after my interview as well. I don't think it means anything. They probably just updated it to reflect the fact that we are no longer invited for an interview since it has already occurred. I have heard of other schools doing this too.

I got the recieved/under review as well. Pitt stays on top of AADSAS updates. Good stuff.
