So i'm in the position of needing a back up. I know there are dental lab tech degrees, and i know that some dental labs will actually train people. Anyone know how I should go about trying to get a job at a lab?

Also, any other ideas for my "year off" would be greatly appreciated.

dental hygiene/assisting is a great back up!

Mike,
your stats are very good and i am not sure why you havent gotten in yet. If i were you, i would look beyond a back up. you need to see what hindered your application this cycle and act upon it now before you submit your application again in May.

check list: Essay, LOR, interview skills, application timing, applying to more schools, info on the application, etc

BEST OF LUCK.

I know one school said my interview skills weren't as high as others. I thought my interview went well though.

i'm hoping that because my application wasn't in to most schools until September that it was my death, not something else.

I have been rejected from all the schools I applied to, with only 1 interview. So, hopefully next year is better for me! Despite what I'd read here I didn't submit my application ASAP. I guess i don't have anyone to blame but myself 🙂
