Background Check (Employment)

Are there any schools that does background check for employment?

I am asking because when I was in college, my family paid for my classes because I worked a certain amount of hours for them. It isn't in a W-2 form or anything, but I did help them out so that I can get my tuition paid for.

Like for example, dates of employment, position held, salary and eligibility for rehire.

My background check showed my work history under the employment section. Did you tell them it was your family that you worked for during school or just stated that you held a job?

If they can't find the info, they will contact the employer you listed.

I just told them that it was a job. Would this be a red flag?
