My ERAS picture's background was gray.
A ton of my classmates are jumping on this trend of having greenery/a wall of leaves as the background. Idk how I feel about it yet. It looks very nice, but it seems kind of band-wagon-y
What you want is a background that projects power. Fast car. Big house. Hot dudes/dudettes hyping you up
This was my ERAS photo: nobody seemed to care about the background at all.
All eyes on me not the background.
Use something lighter and professional. That's really the only requirement. At some rank meetings they have your picture up on the projector so if you look derpy it'll be very obvious. Clearly nobody should rank based on how somebody looks but there's a whole body of evidence showing that appearances contribute to cognitive biases.
