Basically if you don't get into Med School, Vet school, Dentist school etc etc or end up changing your mind mid undergrad. What do you "think" you would like to pursue?

for me, i plan on getting into Medical School, but if don't quite have the grades or i have a change of heart. I think i'll go dental, because i've always had a interest in it, and i heard that the GPA "cut off" is a little lower for dental school and i guess most of all i could go into practice with my brother (5 years older, pre dental at the moment) so thats a plus too 😀

Fair warning: DMD programs do not look kindly upon being treated as a med-school back-up, as well as most other healthcare professional programs. I'm not saying that it can't be done, but don't plan on dental school being an easy admission if you just miss med school.

In college, you'll get help from your Pre-Health Committee (or whatever they call it) on how to put together a good application for whatever school you decide to apply for. Just make sure to try a variety of jobs so you can guarantee that the profession you pick is the best one for you.

I have a really bad habit of speed reading. I'll have to work on that. My bad.

I've thought about going for a MPH degree and pursuing a career in public health. It seems like something that I would be interested in should a healthcare professional career not work out.

Is it not realistic to get rejected from med school with a 3.5 but get into a different health related school? The end goal is a Health related profession moreso than a back up plan

Dang, I just joined and this was going to be my first topic. >:T

If I'm not admitted, I'll advance the EMT certification I'll hopefully have gotten by then to intermediate and then paramedic status. If that's not for me either, I might finally get around to drawing my comic or opening a bakery.
