Bad Clinical performance and university progs

Hello. I posted in the WAMC thread, but the thread seems to have died (please don't hate me).

My step is 235.
All passes clinically (even radiology). H/Hp/P/F allopathic school.
Step 2 will likely not be too hot.
1 year off for research. 2 pubs first author. Multiple abstracts. All clinical. Nothing in rads.
I'm trying to match at a university program anywhere.

Can I match?

Why are predicting in advance that your Step 2 won't be too hot? This is something firmly in your control. Since your grades aren't outstanding, study your ass off (USMLE world, Crush step 2, etc.) and rock step 2. That will help offset your grades.

Many decent university and excellent community programs are within reach for you. Your step 2 and your letters will make the difference.
