Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone had an experience where they thought or definitely knew that their interview experience was a bad one, but ended up getting accepted at that particular school?

I did. I thought my interview at NSUCOM was a bomb, but they ended up accepting me. My interview there was about 15 minutes long... and they had told us ta the beginning that most interviews take about 30 minutes. UGH! Still got the acceptance though.

AZCOM...good gracious that was ugly. Two weeks later CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Same here at OSU. I was stuttering my answers because I was so nervous. At two different times I stopped and asked if I could begin my answer over again. One of my other answers trailed off into near gibberish. It was a mess.

I don't know what it was they saw in me, but they decided to accept me off the waitlist and they've been regretting it ever since! 🙂

I fell asleep in the waiting room at MSUCOM, and my interviewer was extremely late. He literally did not ask me any questions, he just kept talking. I happily listened, but at the same time, since he didn't take time to get to know me, it would be difficult to vouch for my character. Since I' out of state, I already knew it was a long shot. At the end of my interview, he told me he hoped that i would attend MSU and he offered me a position for the fall year to work with him. I received a phone call informing me of my acceptance.

I really don't know with these acceptances and how it all works.

My worst interview was at the first school I interviewed at (which was also my first choice school). I was comfortable doing job interviews, but wasn't comfortable doing school interviews. Anyways, I felt I did not handle the interview as well as I could have and kicked myself all the way home. A few days later, I had an interview with my second choice school, and felt GREAT about that interview.

Anyways, I heard from my first choice school in writing within about 8-10 days of my interview informing me that they had accepted me.

Just goes to show that sometimes during the interview we tend to be too hard on ourselves (either that or I was wearing a killer tie that day).

I mentioned these three books in my secondary application (NSU), and during the interview, I was asked the title of the books and went completely blank!!!! I freaked out...and was barely able to answer the following questions, but I did managed to remember the title of the books later. I just got my acceptance today.
