I had a very bad physics professor for physics 1 (mainly mechanics). I did well in the class by plugging and chugging, but I didn't learn very much. I will be taking physics 2 this semester, and I want to best prepare myself for that class and the MCAT; however, I must say that I learned very little from this professor, so I want to know if there is any material that will help me to learn/relearn what I should have been taught in my physics 1 class.

I still have the textbook, but if simply reading a textbook provided all the necessary information, no one would need to go to school.

Are there any good resources to help me besides a prep-courses review book?

Thanks.

Not much from Phys 1 is going to be needed in Phys 2, but you will need to know Phys 1 stuff for the MCAT.

ExamKrackers Physics would have all you need to know from Phys 1 in a very condensed form.

My physics profs were both HORRIBLE. I got a Kaplan MCAT study book and the official MCAT guide from AAMC. I used the official guide in conjunction with my textbook to figure out what I should use, used YouTube and some open courseware on the Internet for things I really needed to see illustrated, and did OK. I think doing practice problems and being familiar with how to apply concepts broadly is the most important thing.

I think TBR is the way to go. It did me well on PS

My physics 1 prof was a joke. It was a glorified algebra class with no conceptual learning. So I get to play catch up with that crap while taking physics 2 and studying for the MCAT. Although my physics 2 teacher specially teaches concept heavy physics knowing that most of the students are pre-health professionals.
