Hey guys,

I'm just wondering whether I should mention anything "bad" in the additional comments section of many supplemental.

My situation entails: I had a bad semester, but then I buckled down hard and got a 3.9 the next year taking an enormous amt of units. In addition, I got an A on my retaken class and scored well on the DAT in the section I failed.

Or should I just save this for interview (granted if I get one?)

save it for your interview but is the 3.9 unusual on your transcript? which semester had a bigger deviation from your overall GPA?

I had a freshman=4.0, sopho=3.5, junior, 1.8, senior, 3.9......

Argh, I dunno if I should mention it...

Dude, ok. What happened??

Super long story, would take like 4500 words to really describe in detail. I read up on everything online and they said to keep the optional parts brief. So meh, I'm thinking of just leaving it blank and hoping for the best (so I can explain during interview). However, I can't help but notice they will see such a large gap -_-

Do you think it would be wise to bombard them with a super heartfelt good reasoning etc etc etc 4000 word essay, or just leave it blank? I don't think I can describe it in 500 words or less sorta thing.

You could mention it if it's brief, application wise. That's good advice. What happened? Give something general if you don't want to go in specifics.
