I just finished my first semester of my junior year and my grades are no where near where they need to be. I let a bad grade in one class get in my head and ruin the rest. I got two A-, a C in biochemistry, and a B in Organic Chemistry Lab. I'm at a loss for words. My GPA isn't the strongest as is (3.6-3.7) mostly because I am a horrible test taker. I just don't know what to do. I am currently a Chemistry major but I'm wondering if I should switch back to Psychology(which would allow me to still graduate on time) in order to increase my chances of getting into medical school because I'm honestly worried. I don't want to give up, I won't But I need some suggestions on how to recover and move on so that I can better my chances.

Definitely take the time during winter break to refresh and assess what you could do better such as time management or study habits.

Dude, chill, this is the median GPA for accepted applicants. Biochem and Ochem are also two notoriously difficult classes and a single C does not ruin your odds. Keep working hard and you will probably get great grades in other upper level BCPM classes, and you also have the MCAT to show you know your science material.

If you really have issues with test taking go to your learning resource center and find out why and learn some techniques for helping you conquer tests. Unfortunately, medicine is a continual series of high stakes tests that you have to do well on over the course of your career. So figure out why you have a hard time now.
