Bad surgeon behavior

Apparently in Vegas. Acts like this during a livestreamed surgery. Imagine how he treats his “loved ones” in the privacy their home. Anybody know this clown?

What an ass. I've seen that sort of surgeon behavior but it's been awhile... luckily that's not tolerated these days.

We have a transplant surgeon at my hospital who is notorious for throwing temper tantrums. He even went as far as to throw instruments in the OR. Management had a talk with him and basically said if it happens again then he is gone. The only reason he is still here is because he makes the hospital a lot of money…. His temper tantrums have since improved

I’m surprised nobody sues for assault/battery for that. They really should. Personally I’d call the police also; it’s criminal.

🤣 you guys think this is abusive? This is day to day at a couple of the hospitals I did residency. Always told to ignore it and get through as they make oodles of money and the facility will not side against the surgeon.

Eg. Abusive orthopod shouting at the top of his lungs at everyone in the room, massive popping neck and forehead veins; keeps pointing and repeatedly squeezing a skin stapler at the circulator. She tells him to stop. Her says "relax, nothing can happen due to the built in safety mechanism, it has to be pressed against something to deploy". Somehow (squeezing one too many times?), it deployed, and a staple from the (used) skin stapler hits the circulator. Gets "anger management training " from admin.

Is this surgeon worse the anesthesiologist Tiffany Ingram MD? Who was also recorded on tape.

I have personal friends who have worked Tiffany and will defend her. She is a good person from what I have heard from northern Virginia and military crnas. I got the surgery center in Florida to get her some work when she got nailed with the 500k verdict (which her malpractice would not cover).

Yeah, my residency had this kind of behavior on display frequently. This guy would get fired so fast from my hospital now though.

Definitely seen it in CT surgeons in my area. Operated while clearly intoxicated on multiple occasions and got reported but still didn't get fired. Hospital wants money, patient didn't die so no problem.

Anger management. 2 week suspension, all will be forgotten depending on how much revenue he brings to the hospital.

My definition of "good person" has never been how they treat only their friends. There's a reason seeing how someone treats a waiter while on a date is a great test of character.
