Badass speeding ticket VS. Pharmacy school

hello guys, I was driving my new Audi R8 yesterday on the highway 27. I think I got little bit too fast (23 miles over speed limit in the construction zone) and pulled over by the sheriff received $204 ticket.......

Does this have anything to do with my pharm school applications? I remember there is one section about felony or crime, ect. Do I have to put this in it? What should I do????????

Man, unless you shot the sheriff who gave you the ticket, no one cares.

Would have thought you could hire a pretty nice lawyer to argue that down to traffic school for you lol

Are you for real? New R8 as in 2009 or 2010....? Considering that is over a $100K car...you have more than enough $$$ to get yourself out of anything!! Kudos, OJ...😛

alright guys, my dad bought me this car last month (yea, 2010 model), so.. that was his money. I am not rich at all. I just a normal college kid that try to get in the pharmacy school. For those ppl said this is troll thread, knock it off...

I always heard that you could go to jail if u go like 20 or 30 mph over the speed limit, plus I was speeding in the construction zone, which made it worse. so i am not sure if there are some additional penalty fot it.
 
I've got to wonder about this as well. I recently received a speeding ticket for doing 20 over in a work zone in CO. The fine was $617. And R8? I' not too sure about that one either. RX8, maybe.

well, the cop said my ticket could be $400+, but for some reason he gave me a "deal". I guess b/c my good driving record? It was my first time getting speeding ticket tho.
 
If America were just, we would be like Switzerland, which calculates the cost of a speeding ticket based on the driver's income.

As in this case, where a Swedish motorist was fined over a million dollars for driving at 180 mph.

So, you're getting off easy. You'll just be eviscerated during your pharmacy school interview, not paying over a million dollars.

Holy crap, I just vaguely remembered a post from a while back where you mentioned that one of the guys from your unit purchased one of those.

By the way, here is an example:

Personally, I'm more of a Porsche guy( but could live without owning a 911 GT2 RS, like most people here).

There is a box on the ticket that says if it is a criminal case or a moving violation.

Do people really think speeding tickets are a crime? The cop would have said, "you will need to appear in court on this date." I speak from experience from a driving incident when I was 18.

and to OP, I can see why people say you are trolling, it's like a millionaire posting, "I was on my way to the bank to deposit a $25,000,000 check when I..." vs "I was going to the bank.." And the thread title would be "I am rich"

My recent speeding ticket for going 8-9mph over the speed limit was $400..... At least the money is going to great use /s

Actually, you're right. I copied the wrong picture by accident from the same site while looking for one.

By the way, pharmacy school will only help exacerbate the issue of mental instability.😀

If you were really that rich you wouldn't be going into pharmacy. I know if I had that much money I would go striaght into commerical real estate! LOL...you would be crazy to go into pharmacy if you can easily drop 150K on a car. That wouldn't make any sense at all. :laugh:🙄😕
 
I sure hope this terrible crime won't put the brakes on your pharmacy career

Payments on your car are ~$4,900/month pre-tax with 0.9% financing ... You can afford a traffic lawyer for far far far far less.... just go hire one and make it all disappear.

When I was 17, I was driving a nice car in a kinda ghetto neighborhood. I got pulled over and the cop kept asking if the car was stolen and telling me to admit it. It got to the point where we had to call my mom to verify that it was not stolen.

I remember him mentioning that too! Anyway... Traffic laws/fines vary by state... Aren't you from Florida Tango? I can't remember... Anyway... Fines aren't as high in certain counties down here. I've been passed by police doing 30 mph+ on the Fl turnpike... So I can easily see them giving you a break. I've been in the car with a friend who was doing 80 in a 45 and the police gave her a warning bc we were the only people on the road (and in Florida that is a reckless driving offense which would = court time). So yeah... That would probably be listed under a misdemeanor until the case was settled (sometime the officer won't show up for court and it will be thrown out) but you still have to report to the pharmacy school if charges are pending. Btw... I have one speeding ticket from 2005 and I was required to list it on my supplemental application for 2 schools but I was still accepted.

As for the r8... I wouldn't be surprised if op lives in south florida.
 
I meant 30+ mph over the speed limit btw... Sorry my posts are difficult to read when I'm on my cell phone.

Make sure the ticket doesn't come with a misdemeanor. This varies by state. I got a ticket for misdemeanor speeding that held up my intern license for several months. If it is a misdemeanor, be sure you disclose it if you're convicted.

Huh? What bridge? It was on one of the highways in Long Island by the beaches. Actually I prefer to not speed by the beaches since the view is phenomenal, shame not to drive by slowly gawking at the beauty of it all.
