hi.

my question is about how much more clinical experience/and or volunteering I need before I apply to med school.

I have:
volunteered at senior center every summer from my junior year in high school through my freshmen year in college (ie volunteered after my freshman year in college, then thats it)

I've done intense shadowing for 1 summer

I've volunteered at a low-income clinic for 5 months

(my gpa is 3.69, done research for 2.5 years)

I am planning on applying next summer. My focus is do really well on the mcats, but what would be some suggestions of how much other stuff i should do?

It sounds like you have enough clinical and volunteer experience, and your research will help, too. If you can get a job (not volunteer position) in a clinical setting, that'd be great for you. You'll have a lot more responsibility and will actually learn something other than how to change beds or move patients around. Alternatively, you could just involve yourself in something you enjoy, clinical or otherwise.
