The Baptist Health Sciences University College of Osteopathic Medicine (BUCOM) will open in 2024 with its inaugural class of medical students and offers the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. BUCOM has met the standards set in place by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) and currently has pre-accreditation status.

Not sure if a new LECOM or VCOM is comparable to University of Texas at Austin opening up a med school with large faculty drawn from the teaching faculty of their university hospital however.
