how can the answer possibly be D for #4???? the cube shape is so much larger than the pyrimid shape.. it just cant be.. or ami doing something wrong

9 is correct. Try to look at the figure bottom/top entry, not top/bottom. Imagine that you see a squared tunnel in the middle of a pyramid shape (without the pick). It is wide at the beginning, but then gets smaller and smaller. The E choice is the end of the tunnel.
4 I think is wrong in the book.

For question 4, I would say "a" side/side entry. c and d just dont work and the top/bottom has a slanted angle with the triangle as does the front/back view. Therefore, b and e are elminated because the triangle is straight on top or in front.
