hi,
i took the barron's 2nd test exam on the math part, and i got all of them correct. I was wondering, from people who had taken the real DAT, if barron's math problems were similar to the real DAT or not. please let me know? i think i have to study more on the math, no?

NO. i didn't study for math at all and scored a 19. if you're a "math person" you will do fine on the DAT. don't worry about all the area, circumference BS....know your algebra, percentages, square roots..... mental math, baby!

I disagree. Sure, the problems are useless but it has its uses. The review notes are a good read and it offers other strategies... many of which I found more useful than kaplan. It also contains a very thorough studyguide checklist for each subject -- outlines your studying very well for you.
But yeah, don't even try doing the problems. Those are useless.

this is true, the pat section may be usefull but other than that its hard to back this book up because it just leads you to confusion so you are not even sure whether prokaryotes have membrane bound organelles anymore(see what i mean)....i did like the stuff about your career as a dentist but its a little outdated
