Interviewed today.
9am start time.
Fin aid presentation.
Tour of the campus with admissions coordinator Amy Rodriguez (awesome!).
- updated anatomy labs are very nice, great ventilation, new floors, new walls, etc. A camera system is going to be installed that videos the professors table with TV's at each student table so you don't have to crowd around while he does a dissection or points out a structure. Will be ready by August 2010.
- Classrooms were revamped, new chairs and desks.
The dean Dr Nelson took us on a tour of one of the teaching hospitals, North Shore. Very cool place, especially if you prefer a smaller community hospital to the typical huge metro hospital.
- Barry students are the
only group that rotates at this hospital. No Nova, no UM, no nothing. VERY nice, lots of opportunities to be involved with cases where you actually do things as opposed to just standing around and watching, as a lot of 3rd years are stuck doing.
👍
Back to campus for lunch with a 2nd year student. Met a few other first years. Everyone seemed pretty relaxed and laid back.
Interviews were held individually with 2-3 faculty members and lasted about 30 minutes.

All in all I felt like I found out what I needed to know.
Now the wait for an answer begins.
