I was wondering when, approximately, does the interview for Barry end. My departure flight is at 4: 20pm, (no other flights are available until 7 or 8 pm), and my dad and I have work the following day. I was wondering if I can leave at like 3ish to catch the flight. !! 🙁

also,
how's the interview for this school? super casual?

I have read it is casual, but have not interviewed there yet. My invite does not mention what time it ends. Give them a call and ask if this would work. I have flown to MIA a lot, but only on AA. Traffic to the airport is usually not that bad. Security can be no wait to an utter cluster F(*&&^^CK. If you can get out of the interview in 90mins before the flight, you will probably be fine. Just try to only use carry ons and print out or download the ticket to your phone.

Wait, what? You scheduled a flight 20 minutes after your interview is supposed to be over? Don't airports want you to be there at LEAST an hour before hand? Security in Miami might take forever, and if there is a line at the check in desk...

good luck with your flight! Hopefully you don't have to make the decision between your interview and your flight, but if you do, I hope you choose wisely!

I just interviewed there last fri. Our day ended at like 2:30, but there were only two of us. It really depends how many people are in your group. It'll take you 25 min to get to the airport at least. But if you check bags make sure to check them curbside, that'll save you time.

How was it?

Very laid back. We got to go to dr losito's clinic (the team pod for the Miami Heat) and it was awesome. Overall, I was pretty impressed with Barry. The interview itself wasn't terrible. It was two-on-one: a physiology prof and the associate dean for admissions. My interview was about 30min and the other guy's was about 15. Haha but I got accepted on Monday so I guess the longer interview was a good thing. Make sure you know why Barry and why podiatry. Be prepared to discuss your shadowing experience.

That sounds awesome!
Are you going to send them your deposit or are you still exploring your options?

Worrying about catching a flight is just going to stress you out during your interview day. I do not advise this. Leave at 7pm and go into work tired the next day.

I was there their first week of interviews. I too was done around 2:30 but luckily all I had to do was jump back in my dads sports car and race back up the Florida turnpike. Interviews not bad, then again I had 4 people in w me. 3 profs and the dean. Dr lositos was cool too. I met Dexter Pittman.

Hi everyone,

I'm going to wear some very comfortable albeit 2" heels, I'm wondering if we're going to do an actual campus tour, like in undergrad. I really hope not. I really don't want to walk around until 4pm. I got some flat feet.

the ride you around on a golf cart and stop at various places . i went with flats.

Thank you for your feedback!!

I've got some "grandma" shoes as the salesman described them at Nordstrom.

I'm so excited for Barry!!

We didn't get to ride in the golf cart! We pretty much walked everywhere. You could wear heels for the first part of the day, before the tour, and I guarantee you Amy will let you change shoes. It was a very fun day! Get excited.

If you're coming to Barry for an interview, you should probably call the school by its correct name. Barry University. Its a private school in Fl
