This is a thread for anyone who is looking to boost their medical/dental school application by applying to a post baccalaureate program. I'm specifically here to answer any questions you have about Barry University's Biomedical Sciences Program. Any question you have are welcome from "what are our acceptance rates?" to "what does the average semester workload look like?". Nothing is too big or too small!

well those are my first two questions:

1)"what are our acceptance rates?"
2)"what does the average semester workload look like?"

1. Our acceptance rate is over 65%.
2. There are three different tracks you can apply for. The one-year track is going to be the most rigorous. The one year track will really take all of the time you have. They don't recommend working while in the one-year program. You could be taking up to 15 credit hours of 500 level science classes. Its manageable but definitely takes full dedication. You also have the 18 month or the 2 year track. These are also challenging but do allow room for a job and give you a little more breathing room. The curriculum is meant to mock your first year of medical school. You'll be taking a full gross anatomy class in one semester rather than breaking it up into two semesters, the same with human physiology.

This program really does a wonderful job of preparing you for medical school and dental school. You learn how to manage a large volume of information on a day to day basis. It is a good replica of what you can expect to see when you are accepted into medical or dental school. A lot of professional schools recognize how difficult the program is and if you do well they feel confident that you can succeed in their programs. That's one of the reasons our acceptance rates are so high. Good Luck and let me know if you have any other questions =)
