Based solely on location and what “living like a resident” entails . For those who have lived or know people in these regions during residency, how would living in Miami vs NY city be. Or will both be equally as busy and expensive and the only diff would be the weather lol. Thanks

Can be equally expensive and busy. You like carnivals with scantily-clad dancers, or huge marching bands with enormous floating cartoon characters?

Where do people from NYC choose to live when they don’t have to work anymore?

Cost of living is same or higher if you are saying Miami but envisioning Miami Beach, otherwise, it is slightly lower in Miami, but not if you want to live in the most desirable areas. There is also a lot less roommate and sharing opportunities in Miami, so you have to keep that in mind. There are a lot more students, interns, residents, professionals who will want to share a cool spot with roommates than there are in Miami.

Also unless the cold weather is a big deal to you, quality of life will be much higher in NYC, you get much more for your money.
