Hi

I am a UK medical student thinking of taking the USMLE Step 1.
I was wondering if there is a full length USMLE practice exam I can take before I start revising for it, in oder to see where I currently stand.
Anyone know of where I can find this?

Thanks in advance

Well, I went through the british system. I'll advise you that your basic sciences are going to be waaaaay deficient to be able to work anywhere near the level of Step 1. So its going to take a pretty lengthy and very intensive study period to get yourself up to speed.
Step 2 you'll find so much easier, if you paid attention during your rotations.
Theres a free NBME 150 question exam somewhere... they're on the NBME website so that should give you a good idea roughly where you stand. But bear in mind that those questions are A LOT easier than those on the real exam (sat step 1 last week)

Thanks. Looking at the website seems I need to pay?

Know of any free ones?

The free 150 Santhy mentioned.

These are worth every cent. While they may be easier, they are quite awesome at predicting your score.

Thanks. Found that one you are talking about - was on the USMLE website I think. Has 143 questions.

How long do you think I should give it to revise? I'm not sure if I should book the exam first or after I have had a few month of revision. In third year now, so just started rotations.
