Hi everyone! I search for a forum containing this, but I didn't find it.

What does a COM mean when they ask for a LOR from a "BASIC" science professor?

Use a little common sense. You know, Gen chem, bio, physics, biochem, etc.
 
OK...I would not have considered Biochem to be "basic"...but thank you.

I think a safe bet would be any science course that is a premedical prerequisite. If you want more specifics, you'd need to contact the school in question. Get it directly from the horse's mouth, if you are in doubt.
