a) HSV
b) HPV

d) VZV

2. Guy comes in with mild proteinuria, HTN, periorbital edema. What will be the relative serum levels of each?

Angiotensin, Renin, Aldosterone (using up or down arrows)

3. Man presents with tingling in the face and a burning sensation in the neck and upper torso. This results from ingestion of the which of the following amino acids?
a) Alanine
b) Glutamate
c) Lysine
d) Proline
e) Tyrosine

4. What is the path of the left renal vein to the right atrium? (ie how does a left renal cell carcinoma spread to the heart?)

5. 29 yo woman presents with hot flashes and pregnancy test is negative. Estrogen is low, progesterone is low, LH is high, FSH is high. Diagnosis?
a) PCOS
b) premature ovarian follicle
c) Late secretory luteal phase
d) Early proliferative follicular phase

Please provide an explanation for any or all answered questions.
 
My answers are:
1- Choice b: HPV (characteristic figure of HPV in a baby)
2- All are Up (I think because it is a kind of secondary hyperaldosteronism)
3- Choice b: Glutamate (bcz it is GABA precursor in the brain. I'm not sure at all !)
4- Left Renal Vein --> IVC --> Right heart
5- Choice b (you mean: premature ovarian follicle failure).
