it went really well....i just heard back from them and i GOT IN!!!

Congratulations! Is that where you will be going? Would you mind putting your stats up? GPA (cumulative and pre-req), volunteering hours, etc. I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

Congratulations Tasty Beverage.

When did you apply and did you have a phone interview? I kept emailing them throughout January to see how my application was and they kept telling me they would get back to me. Ohs Well.

did u hear back from bay path?? i am going there for sure!!!! its soo cheap and its short!! 2 years

I did get in! But they want me to retake Physiology because I got a C and they only accept B- and above. The two schools I'm considering are American International College and University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I'm still waiting for Bay Path to send out a financial aid package.

Fin Aid will most likely make my decision for me. Are you from the East Coast?

sorry i have been busy.....but yea i got into AIC also but thats a 3 year program and no i am from chicago!! baypath will be my school to go and yea i have to re take stats

I got accepted to both, but I haven't decided which one I will attend until I go visit the campuses. Does anyone know which program is better and has a higher passing rate in the exam after graduation?

For those who got accepted to Bay Path, how long did it take for you to receive your acceptance letters? I was told I got accepted, but am waiting to get my official letter.

I just got back from visiting both colleges!!! i am soo confused!!!!

pros and cons for both

AIC: great school, hands on program....terrible area to live aka ghetto lol expensive and its 3 years long!!! great labs

Baypath: small school, old fashioned, great area....research based program, only 2 years long, very cheap $51,000 for the whole thing.... not a lot of classes from what i saw.... for anatomy u have to go to a different college to study with there cadaviors idk

I AM SOO CONFUSED ON WHERE TO GO....PLEASE HELP!!!!

This is a tough choice, it feels like AIC has a lot to offer, the only problem is the cost and length while BPC is cheap but has less to offer.

yeah idk what to do!!!! and baypath is a all girls undergrad and i am a guy so no housing for me there lol!!! ahhhh soo lost and confused right now i am 22 about to turn 23 in summer and i would love to get out of school by 25 and start working but if i didnt learn any thing in the school i went to its useless...and baypath's anatomy is only upper body i think! ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! do ots not need to know lower body??? come on now!!

I agree with u. I am also in the same boat with u but my choices are between sacred heart or BPC. I am a guy too and BPC being all girls undergrad is not an issue to me because both programs don't have on campus housing for graduate student and OT programs are mostly all girls. The fact that students have to go to a different college to study cadavers is little bit strange to me.

I am just curious to know, how soon did you hear back from Bay Path College? Also, was there an interview process?? I heard AIC is great hands on as well their program is much longer however the class size, and the professor to student relationship seemed very strong! I went to visit the campus and was accepted there as well. As of right now I am still deciding...which to attend!

Ninja I am still deciding on where to go all my Friends that r in grad schools now said go with aic but idk for the money and total years

MOTexas.... There was an interview process and I got in within a month they called me with the news.... So did u get into aic and bay path or just aic?? The campus was great at aic but it's in the ghetto

Did u decided which one to go to aic or baypath??? I'm soo confused still help me lol

Of those students who have been accepted to Bay Path College, how many are actually attending? Does anyone know the number of students who are accepted or the size of the class as of right now?

I was just notified via phone that I was accepted to Bay Path, which was odd since I didn't interview! I haven't been to the campus yet and wonder if any of you who are attending could give any feedback on the program? How is the off-campus cadaver lab? Is there a lot of community outreach projects? Faculty support and mentorship?

This is my first acceptance, and I'm from California so I would might go somewhere closer if I have the option. Anyone else accepted?

Congratulations to both of you on being accepted! I was also notified of being accepted in early December. Do either of you know yet whether or not you will attend?

Hey I just got accepted to Baypath for this august too. I am trying to decide whether I want to go to Worcester State University in M.A. or Baypath. Worcester is only $25,000 compared to $53,000 at Baypath, but its also 3 years comapred to 2. Who here is going to Baypath for O.T. this year?

I am 99% sure that I will be attending. I haven't even heard back from any of the other schools that I applied to yet, and I'm considering just calling them and having my applications be removed. Does anyone have an additional info regarding the area/school?

I got into Bay Path too, but I don't think I'm going to go there.

Brandon88 - I'm seriously considering Worcester too. Is $25,000 the total for 3 years? Also, do you know if it's different for out-of-state students?

It sounds like I'm like OT4Life, I applied to 15 schools just to make sure I got in somewhere! I will be declining the offer from Bay Path, so that's a spot for someone else! (I'm going to Touro Nevada). Seriously this whole thing has been so stressful.

Those of you getting ready to apply for next year- do it early! Ask for your letters of rec MONTHS before you want to apply. Be diligent, it will pay off : )

$25,000 ??? *sigh* I should have applied to that school. But as of now I will be attending Baypath

I say go with Worcester, even though its 3 years you'll come out with less debt than if you go to Baypath. Just my opinion.

I wish I had known about Worcester earlier. Didn't know there were schools that cheap.. is it in-state?

If possible, I would go with Worcester. Taking out $53,000 in loans + $30,000 in living expenses really adds up over the years with student loan interest rates being so high.

Hello,

I got accepted to Bay path without an interview over the phone too. So far, this is the only school I've heard back from. Did any of you get a email confirmation or anything of that sort? Is anyone considering going to Bay path? If so, are you planning to get an apt off campus? I'm not 100 % sure but I think they don't have graduate housing.

Congratulations!

I applied there but they are still reviewing my file. I don't think I will be going because I was accepted elsewhere but I still want to keep all my options open.

I wonder if we should begin some sort of thread about housing. I have seen people ask about it for other schools. I imagine it might be helpful and perhaps people could share information what they learn about the areas as well. So far I have been checking city-data forum to learn more about the areas around schools but that doesn't help with roommates. 🙂

Congrats on your acceptance!!
And yes, that would be a great idea since some of us might be moving out of state.

I was accepted and will be attending Bay Path as well. I know it is a bit pricey but I do like how it is only 2 years. They do also have a 4-year part time program which spreads the cost out more. However, that is then 2 more years without a paycheck. Housing around the area as far as apartments go are on the expensive side. I am possibly looking for a roommate. If anyone is looking for one too, just let me know.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone received anything in the mail yet in order to send in their deposit to secure their spot. I haven't received anything in the mail yet, but was told it would be coming in March.

I have not received anything yet either about the deposit. I inquired as to whether or not I could just find the form online and send it in right away but they said I had to wait until March when I received the form. I have no idea whether it is coming by e-mail or usps.

I haven't received it yet either. I'm thinking it will be emailed to us.

I havent recieved anything in the mail yet either, just the phone call letting me know I was accepted. I have decided to go to Bay Path, even though I did get accpeted into worcester which is $25000, compared to $53000 for the entire program. I heard Bay Path is a better program, and its only 2 years compared to 3, so even though its almost $20,000 more, I will be making around $70,000 right out of school, and I would be able to work that extra year, but I would still be in school that year if I went to Worcester.

Has anyone received acceptance confirmation emails yet? I was accepted via phone ~three weeks ago but I haven't received an email yet.

It took a month or so to get the official email for me so I'm sure you will receive one soon. I think they are still finalizing everything and then will also email out the reservation forms that others were talking about.

Has anyone received the deposit form to reserve your spot yet? I got accepted in November and I haven't received it yet. I did get my official letter in December, but I haven't been able to reserve my spot yet 🙁

They should be emailing the forms soon. I spoke to Lynn George when i visited the campus on Wednesday, she said they were waiting for the new tuition rates to come out. So not to worry, they haven't forgotten about it! 🙂

I'm so happy I found this thread! I will also be attending Bay Path this August and I just sent in my deposit 🙂 Did everyone else get the email? I am eager to find out what our schedules will be like. I decided to enroll in the part-time program because I need to work a little bit which I hope won't be too hard. 4 years seems like so much longer than 2, but after looking at other OT schools where the full time programs were 3 years, an extra year part-time doesn't seem too bad. Anyway, congrats to everyone who was accepted!

Bay Path College has no social life to be honest I got accepted so took the offer it's expensive, but cost didn't bother me as much. I didn't pay much on my bachelors I had a scholarship for most but 6K of it and I took a job offer in OT that is paying 30K tuition for 2 yrs of work after my MOT to keep the cost down and I'm glad I did. So I'm coming out pretty low with both my BS and MOT. Looking around the area I don't see a lot of work to do while in school, but maybe something part-time. I find the area very safe and nice but boring even though it's dull, you can make it a positive experience after talking with other students they couldn't agree more!

Who is looking for housing?

That's what I want to know. How many are accepted the class size?

I believe they accepted 60 students this year. Those 60 students will be broken up into 2 different sections.

Although I'm sure not all students will attend. I don't know if they pull people off of a wait list to fill 60 seats or if they accept more than they really want because they know some people won't attend.
