What is the deal, so many conflicting views on this program. My overall impression was that this is an easy residency:
Q8 as opposed to Q4
3 months elective time as opposed to 0
Only 6 months of ward/ICU time the final two years with plenty of time for electives
What is the deal? Why are people so split on this program? I don't understand how the above numbers can be considered malignant? I ran into a Baylor student on the trail and he said that the residents party more than the students
So what is going on?

My understanding (from interviewing) is that you virtually have no call free months (only exception is ER). So even though you might have less ward months as a senior, you are still taking overnight call on specialty/consult services. If any current residents would like to correct me/add to what has been posted, it would be really appreciated, as I plan on ranking this program somewhere in my top 5 add would love some more info (my rank list REALLY needs to be finalized soon! 😱 )
