I am currently an athletic training student and am highly interesting in attending Baylor's PT program. I plan to sit for the BOC when I graduate and become certified as an athletic trainer. I am aware this is a military PT school and am currently enrolled in ROTC and will be commissioned when I graduate with my undergraduate degree. My question is mainly for anyone currently at Baylor, will having the athletic training certification help me out? Will the hours I have already had to complete for my undergrad count as hours towards the application? I will obviously be doing additional hours in more of a physical therapy setting, but what we do is very similar. We even have an ATC, PT who works at our university that I've done hours under. Also, does prior or current military service have any affect on your application?

Ill comment on the one part that i know i can answer, and thats about your hours. Only the hours that are done under a licensed PT can be counted as observation hours, and they can only have been done within the last year. So for the hours you have had while being an athletic trainer wont count.
