The article quoted someone saying “Right now, it can take up to two months to see a psychiatrist,” I call BS on that. Just looked up Detroit from a patient’s pov… and I could get an intake TOMORROW with an MD, through one of the many telepsych platforms.

Edit: Oh wait, I further experimented a bit for fun. Picked a location in the middle of a national forest in Michigan, with BCBS insurance. Can see an MD psychiatrist in 2 days. What kind of shortage is that?
