I know the topic of science gpa has been covered many times and I know what constitues each. BCP includes all biology, chemistry, and physics course's, and the overall science includes math, and other sciences. My question is does AADSAS calculate BCP into the science gpa?

Thanks in advance

Yes.

Any class that was used in the BCP GPA will also be used in the science GPA. Therefore the science GPA consists all of the BCP classes, plus those science classes that don’t qualify as BCP.

ya, but you forgot math classes (with stats).

thanks for the responses guys, on a similar note my freshman year I dropped Physics BEFORE the drop date (like 5-6 weeks in the semester), it still shows up as a W on my transcript. I know if you retake a course, finish the course and then go back and take it, they average in both grades. But, would they count my W as an F and average it with the grade I got in Physics the second time around?

Thanks

Talk to your dean. Why would you ever take blame for something you didn't do. On Monday take care of this immediately.

Thanks for clarifying!

What I had meant when I said “science classes,” were all the other classes (besides BCP) calculated in the science GPA.

Straight W’s are not calculated into your AADSAS GPA. Trust me, I had plenty!

In a rare situation, some schools hand out WF grades which are calculated in a GPA as an F. Retaking gives you an additional grade for the course, but the F is still factored in just like any other stand alone grade.

Is that normal to issue W's for classes you drop before the drop date (6-8 weeks into the semester)?

It’s different at every school, and then you have to throw in quarter vs semester.

At my undergrad (quarter) we had a couple drop deadlines:

1 to 4 weeks – nothing would show after a drop
5 to 9 weeks – we received a W after a drop
9 to 10 weeks – we received an F after a drop

Another school I went to handed out W’s after week 2.
