Can you label an engineering course as BCPM course if it is BCPM content?

For example I have a Chee 202 (chemical engineering 202 thermodynamics) is just a thermodynamics course in the college of engineering.

Honestly, the AMCAS manual does a really bad job dealing with engineering classes. Mostly because many engineering students have a ton of classes just like the one you described. For example, I took two BME classes that were basically equivalent to the first year bio classes bio majors take, but I'll probably end up marking it as engineering anyway. Sometimes this works to our advantage (hard engineering classes not counting as part of our sGPA) and sometimes to our disadvantage (having to take bio twice). If it doesn't affect your gpa that much, I'd probably just leave it as non BCPM.

It really doesn't matter anyway since AMCAS will correct your designations if it feels they're incorrect.

Me (and I'm guessing this person) are worried that it'll cause a delay if we risk putting the courses as BCMP and AMCAS disagrees. Will it?

Bumping an old thread--but I'd like to know the answer to this.

A couple of engineering friends who have been verified by AMCAS claimed a lot of engineering classes as BCPM, with almost no problems on their end.

There were a couple of classes that got changed, but they ended up being verified around the same time as other people who submitted on the same day.

I just got my application verified and I think most of my engineering courses i put as science were listed science.

Classes like transport and chem thermo got changed from science to engineering, but oh well dont want to argue. I feel these are more science as opposed to the upper level engineering classes where true "engineering" comes into play.

Still ended up with a 3.77sGPA tho so Im not complaining.

Things to note, all my math classes taken in the engineering college BCPM, such as engineering stats and modeling and analysis of systems.

Reaction Engineering was BCPM, as was my chemical engineering labs and upper level chemical engineering electives. Sorry for the terrible post but Im in the rush,

PM me if you got any questions.
