BCPM for grad/undergrad

As a business major, I didn't do too hot in my math/stats classes in undergrad. They were all B's with one C (in calc 1 none the less). I've been taking all of my science requirements postbacc and have been doing pretty well. My problem is that if you average my science courses in postbacc thus far, its 4.00.. but when you average in all of my math/stats courses from undergrad, my GPA (BPCM) drops to a 3.58.

For comparisons sake, my overall undergrad GPA was 3.58.. so the math and stats classes were definitely the weakest part of my transcript.. unfortunately I never even considered medicine when I was in undergrad.. so I never tried extra hard in these classes, and focused on other classes that I was more interested in.. ie: i did well in my math heavy finance courses (ie: options and derivatives, secrities analysis etc).. but since these are finance, they dont count as part of BPCM..

Does anyone know if adcoms will view it favorably that most of those poorer grades in my BCPM were done in undergrad (do they even look that carefully?).

Should I take some math/stats classes now to show them that I can do it?

What are your thoughts?

I'm in a similar situation. I have C's in my science classes from undergrad and am now doing a post-bac to make up for it... From what I understand, depending on the length of time between undergrad and post-bac, the adcoms will view your recent work more favorably (I have 13 years between undergrad and post bac work). However, since ALL grades are averaged in, my worry is that my application won't even be considered at first glance. 🙁

A strong upward trend is important. A 3.5 isn't a bad GPA. I don't think you have alot to worry about as long as you keep up your post bac 4.0 trend. But, then again, the application process sometimes seems to be a crap shoot .... 🙄
