BCPM is a requirement for Indian High Schoolers Going to College?

I am just curious: do all indian high schoolers planning on college take organic chemistry and physics, even if they are not going into medicine? If they do take these courses in preparation for college, they would be prepared for medicine should they decide on it later.

Also regardless, organic chemistry is usually a college course taken in college (unless you have exhausted your high school's science course offerings). Many high schools have a science track which means you get some exposure to physics.

In other words, the pre-med courses we took in college are actually required science courses in Indian high schools.
