Hey everyone, I wanted to know if there are recertification “classes” that I can attend so that I wont have to take the exams like the one for pharmacist licensure. I personally heard that exams taken following the recertification material for BCPS are hard to pass.... don’t get me wrong, I do want to be up to date and learn but wanted to see if anyone have easier ways to get the credits. Thanks in advance!

It’s pretty much either PSAPs with ACCP or the ASHP 3yr program...both have tests to take after reading/watching (one chance to pass).

I find ASHP material slightly “easier” mostly because I find PSAP questions more convoluted than they should be.

Or just take the test every 7 years... either way, you gotta answer the questions.

As a side note, I forgot I had BPS classes expiring and so I just banged through 4 modules cold and passed 2 of them. The 2 I failed were in areas I don’t practice at all (pharmacogenomics and he’ll if I remember the second one)

Looool only 5 grand haha! I think i ll take the tests.. this is my first time doing the recertification but i m almost positive the reading materials wont cost that lol.. thx for sharing

lol my bad the class does exist....I just remember seeing the cost and not taking it seriously.

ASHP is $864 for non members over 3 years for all the credit needed

even with that class in december, you still have to take a test at the end of the class and pass in order to get the credits. you only get 16 hours ? i thought it was more like 25 hours but then i guess depends on which class.
Also if you choose to take the recertification test, you only take the 1st half of the test. Who told you that was hard to pass ?? i was told it was easier than taking the entire test like we had to do in the beginning of the BCPS certification.

What do you mean by banged out 4 modules ?? even if you pass all 4 modules, you won't have 120 hours which is required, right ? How did you get 120 hours so quickly ? how many hours credits did you get from 2 modules ? and how long did the 4 modules take you ? these are PSAP modules.
