Do I need 3 years of being a pharmacist under my belt before I can take the BCPS? Or can I consider my year of rotations + 2 years of clinical RPh experience= 3 years of clinical experience

These are not as a licensed practitioner...

"Completion of three (3) years of practice experience with at least 50% of time spent in pharmacotherapy activities (as defined by the BPS Pharmacotherapy Content Outline)"

The whole point of the 3 years is to ensure you maintain your knowledge, not just binge and purge for the NAPLEX and BCPS at the same time (or close to the same time). It used to be 5 years, if I recall correctly. So no, the 1 year of APPEs does not count.

Per BPS website.

It's 3 years as RPh or 1 year RPh/resident.
