Beasting Destroyer, getting butt wooped by kaplan subject tests

wtf. I can almost answer 99% of destroyer ochem correctly...and UNDERSTAND it but im horrible at the kaplan ochem subject tests!! WHY!!!!....im doing destroyer again as we speak and im still beasting the ochem section but whenever i take a damn kaplan subject test i cant do better than 60%....plz tell me that I'm ready for the real dat ochem! 5 days! And i just finished the Ochem series at a UC with straight A's....is kaplan really that tricky?

I dunno about kaplan stuffs.... but I was scoring in the 80s% in destroyer orgo before my test... ended up with 21 orgo

Just learn from your mistakes with Kaplan, make sure you underestand every mistake thoroughly, watch, your gonna end up with a 30 in orgo lol

very surprising, i have yet to do the kaplan stuff but i always assumed destroyer was more difficult.

People definitely don't give Kaplan enough credit. I would never call their stuff "easy" having gone through all of the subject tests twice...

I did Destroyer also, like you, and knew it pretty well and then got 50% or so on my 1st Kaplan Orgo subject test. They got easier after that. Kaplan is just tricky. It is good to learn from but definitely (from what I've read) not a diagnostic to base what your real score will be on. Just LEARN every little thing. Good luck! 2 weeks till my D-day :O!

It was almost exactly the opposite for me! I was doing well with Kaplan first but but then destroyer rocked my world. I think it's just getting used to the questions being asked in a different way. If you're doing that well on destroyer I think you'll be just fine when test day rolls around. Good luck!
