Hi. I've been browsing these forums for well over a year now, and I'd like to start off by thanking those of you that have helped so many of us uninformed high school students. It really means a lot that we have somewhere to go to get real answers from people who have been through it already.

Anyway, I go to a magnet school that recruits students who are interested in becoming medical professionals. In my senior year, I have the option of taking a class to become a Dental Assistant which is great because I want to be a dentist. My first thought was that I should definitely do it, but I'm curious whether or not I'll be able to make much use of it during my time at college.

If anybody else had the same opportunity and took advantage of it, I'd appreciate the advice. I don't want to go through this tough course as well as the continuing education hours every year if I won't be able to make use of it.

EDIT: The "+ High School Help" part of the title was referring to another question I had written, but I realized that this probably wasn't the right forum for it.

EDIT2: The title my school offers is actually RDA and not CDA. I don't believe that there is much/any difference, but I thought I'd mention it in case I'm wrong.
