How can i manage to study in Canada and become a DO not a practitioner who has been trained in osteopathy.

Is it possible?

Osteopathic Physicians are recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. However, the training needed to become an osteopathic physician is not available in Canada - these practitioners get their training exclusively in the United States. They have a medical degree from a college approved by the American Osteopathic Association.

training? meaning residency?

so this in fact would mean i can have all of my educational aspects done in school at a place like canadian college of osteopathy then come to the states for residency?

this is an interesting theory.

It means they have to go to an osteopathic medical school in the United States and then do an allopathic residency here (the Canadians won't give a medical license for an AOA residency). The Canadian College of Osteopathy won't teach you medicine or make you a physician.

I actually called the canadian college of osteopathy.
They have a 5 year program for osteopathic practitioners not physicians.
Well. jee. that sucks.
study 5 years just to be a practitioner
and you can study in the states for 4 years and become a Physician.
Obviously the states would be a better bet.
