Hey, can you become a doctor in the u.s with a canadian residency?

yeah i believe you can. i personally know several people who did that. all you have to do is to pass the USMLE part 1,2,3. then you should be ok.
 
don't you also have to redo a US residency? or does that only apply to non north american foreign grads?

depends on the specialty. for ex, neurosurgery in the US no longer accepts canadian trained neurosurgeons (this is the last year where they allow canadian trained neurosurgeons)
 
ic, thanks for the heads up moo. Didn't know that it was specialty dependent and controlled. I thought that an overall ruling organization like AAMC regulates that kind of thing.
