Been accepted, but havent heard back from interviewed schools

I have been accepted to two dental schools already. However, both of these two schools are not my top choice. I have interviewed in five schools and haven't heard back from the other three schools. The three schools didn't even contact me via email, mail, phone, and AADSAS portal to tell me whether or not I am accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. This waiting time is driving me crazy!! Anyone in this same position? Any other recommendations that others can give me and the other Pre-dents in this same situation to relieve this irritating pain?

yeah reallllly not gonna get a lot of sympathy for your situation on sdn. Not many actually get accepted to their number 1 if you want to get down to it.

I would say that it is good that you didn't get rejected but its also bad that you didn't get accepted...

You won't hear from those 3 schools probably until first~second week of January. Just be patient. They will likely to notify you whether you are accepted, rejected, or waitlisted by then.

Where did you get this fact from? To all others: btw what does it imply about the applicant who is getting this "unknown" status? This "unknown" status is pretty weird approach taken by dental schools; dental school should have just labelled me as waitlisted and I wouldn't feel irritated about not knowing my status.

I'm just making an educated guess. Figure schools give out acceptances on Dec. 1 and wait on those to make a decision (making a deposit) and move on from there. And these accepted people have a month to decide whether to decline or accept the offer. I figure based on that schools give out the next round of acceptances to people who were on the next accepted or waitlisted pile. Who knows though? This is just how I think. Obviously every school has their way of giving acceptances to applicants, but I just assume it is somewhere along the line of my guess. But nonetheless, were those three interviews all pre-December? I think you might as well just assume that you're waitlisted - less stressful on your part. I think you're definitely waitlisted if you don't hear from schools by January.
