Hi all,

So I've been accepted to a school and will be starting in fall 2013. Let's be honest... I'm ready to give up my job right now and do something else. It has to be paid (because I'm broke) but an internship or other good experience would be perfect. I'm willing to travel.

Anyone have any ideas for medically-related internships that are paid that would be good for a summer? I've looked around a lot, but haven't had much luck.

Thank you!

Depends on your definition of "paid." I was looking at public health internships in my area, which means I would live at my apartment I'm paying for anyways, but even then I would only make about 4k. Ones up north from me(~3 hrs drive) I would have to pay my own housing, which they may halp you with, but that probably cuts your pay down a bit. If you're looking for decent money, I don't know of many internships that pay all that well, best bet would be to look on your undergrads job center if they have one.

Just do something that you enjoy, this is your last chance at true freedom. Save up some cash, hang out with friends, work a low stress job.

My job doesn't pay enough for me to save up any cash, so I'm left to continue working until school. I'd like to do something that I enjoy and would be interesting for a few months...

If you're outdoorsy you could work at one of the national parks over the summer. Lots of seasonal employment and housing provided, cool location + low stress. Depending on what goes on in the next year I might do that between graduation and med school.
