I was just thinking how crazy it is that in the beginning I was all "I'm making an AMCAS 2005 release date countdown calendar" and "has anyone seen my laminated MSAR? I need to take a shower and I can't find it."

But I just decided today that I don't care anymore. I think I am finally understanding that this is one big crap shoot and if I get shut down this year I'll just improve myself and re-apply next year. Whatever. It's only money. And my dignity.

Are any of you with me?!?! 😉

Hell yeah. It's all about perspective. But take it easy saki -- it's still early in the game and to burn out this quickly would be weaksauce. I bet the rest of the process will be less stressful if we all chilled out. Thanks for the thread.

Totally right on - perspective is where it's at.

Honestly, think of how ahead of the game we are in coming to this realization: PLENTY of people, both younger and older than we, would satisfy the description of your prototypical "workaholic." After the spring (MCAT) semester, affectionately known as the "semester from Hell", I decided that never again would I put myself in a position where life was so unbalanced. Keeping the ball rolling in a hundred different courts is quite the tightrope walk, but I think we owe it to ourselves to put in a little extra effort to find that balanced, HAPPY medium.

Oops, gotta go. I'm late for a party :hardy:
