Beginning of August too late????

I would say that you should get your complete application in as early as possible, but only if you are prepared for that. If you think you will be at an advantage to take it a month later and have a chance of scoring higher, then wait. But, the earlier you apply, the better.

It wouldn't be a month later...only a couple of weeks, but that would mean 2 more weeks of studying.
After reading so many threads with various different opinions, I'm still not sure how late my completed application can be submitted without it being considered late. It sounds kind of like June/July are the magic months to have the application completed by, but I didn't know if having it completed in early august would put me at too much of a disadvantage...

Early August is perfectly fine.

From last year, if you didn't submit on the first day, you were going to be waiting a long time to get verified. This has me paranoid about reapplying this year, and I'm not sure what to think.

I do not think my app will be perfect by Jun 3. Given the ridiculous verification times, what's your opinion on a good timeframe for submission?

But the wait time is somewhat irrelevant since most schools don't even receive the AMCAS apps until the end of June at the earliest anyway. Whether you wait 24 hours or 3 weeks to get verified is somewhat irrelevant.

I'll be honest and say that I don't know what the trends regarding verification times are over the last couple of years. All I know is that I submitted on June 2nd when I applied and was verified within a week.

I hear you. I guess my worry is that if I apply on Jun 3rd, I'll be verified before my app is sent to schools. Whereas, even waiting another day or two might jeopardize that possibility because verification times pretty much increased logarithmically last year.

For reference, last year's verification times, courtesy of @DAPI. I think a big difference might be the fact that application submissions were delayed by a week or so from Jun 3 to Jun 10?
