I know this subject is sort of the "butt end" of the USMLE; however, I have noticed my performance in this subject decreasing on the NBME practice exams.

Maybe I am not as ethical as I once believed, so has anybody have any tips on how to strengthen this area. I feel it should be easy points but I seem to not be getting it.

I have used uworld and kaplan for this subject so is there something else out there in the ether?

i am also having the same problem. One of my friends suggested that I should read BRS behavioral science. hopefully that would work

Why are you getting questions wrong? Is it consistently because you choose one set of phrases/actions? There is a vague ethical framework that the exam tries to push, one in which there are hard rules (power of attorney, competency, rights granted to minors) and softer suggestions (ask open-ended questions, elicit a "why" from the patient, never call a consult).

The best advice I have for the ethics questions on the exam is to set aside a "what would I do" mentality and adopt a "what would NBME do" framework.
