hey yall!

um, i was doing behavioral sciences. finished the section in FA. however, i recently took a look through a review book. and well, FA doesnt cover a lot of topics and i am wondering whether i ought to leave them out for the board prep. for ex, sleep disorders, mood disorders, sexuality, the family culture and illness and more...

i looked up the psychiatry section in FA, but that didnt cover the list of topics i found in the review book.....

i notice the popular Taus method advices no addition of new topics to FA for Behavioral, but then again the above mentioned topics do kinda stand out.
so, what do you all suggest i do, stick with FA or read through the review book?

I would suggest BRS behavioural as an adjunct because there is more and more of it showing up on the step.

Behavioral sciences is actually reasonably high yield. I would advise the High Yield Behavior Sciences review book. You can get through it very quickly, and it hits the stuff you'll miss in FA.

+1 here. Behavioral Science isn't well-represented on Step I but HYBS more than prepares you easily for the few questions that you will get on the exam. You can get through this book quickly and easily.

I just started Kaplan BS for Behavioral. Do I need a separate resource for Psych? I noticed that the notes don't seem to cover Psychiatric disorders. Psych in general seems to be missing from the Kaplan review. What books should I get for Psych?

High Yield Behavorial by Fadem seems well recomended and im using it now and it seems to be quite good.

How many questions (relative to the other subjects) will I be likely to see on BS for the USMLE?

It seems this thread focuses more on HY Behavioral Science. I was wondering if anyone has used BRS and what they thought of the book. Our school asks us to buy BRS and use it alongside the course (and obviously for Board review).
