I'm now on several waitlists and from what I've been hearing, the waitlist will be active well into August.
I'm going to be out of the country from May until August. What's the best way to ensure that I won't miss out on any notices?

I think you should do three things:

1. Notify the schools that you are going to be gone.

2. Designate someone you trust, like a parent or sibling, to be your contact person. Tell the school their name and contact info so they can inform them of any decision. Keep in touch with this person often while you are gone.

3. Set up an email account that can easily be accessed from the internet. Most other countries (even some third world countries!) have internet cafes where you can use the internet for a very low price. Tell the schools about this email address as a direct method of contact.
