hey

does anyone know if the recommendation forms provided on the application have to be filled out or are the LOR's from pharmcas good enough? I tried to call the pharmacy admission but no one ever answers, it always goes to this womans voicemail.

thanks

The forms you see are from last year's cycle. this is thier second year accepting applications and they probably just didnt update that section. This year they are going with Pharmcas, they didnt have pharmcas last year. So just use pharmcas template for references.
According to PharmCas:

Letter(s) of Reference (recommendations/
evaluations)
Two (2) letters of reference should be completed on the Letters of Reference form included in your PharmCAS application. It is highly recommended that applicants submit both letters of reference to PharmCAS by March 2, 2009.See the Letters of Reference page on this website for a list of possible evaluators.

This institution DOES NOT accept evaluations from the following:
Teaching Assistants
Friends
Family Members

Belmont (BUSOP) is shifting into PharmCAS for the 2009 admissions cycle, and have almost finished working out the last of the transition wrinkles.

One of these is moving away from the supplemental application form used last year to a much simpler (reduced PharmCAS redundancy) form. That form will be available on the BUSOP website by Monday at the latest.

Letters of reference are coming via PharmCAS (primarily); however, applicants have the option of submitting these directly if there is a BUSOP-specific need to do so.

As for the experience mentioned earlier about less-than-ideal phone/voice mail, let me apologize for any frustration that resulted. Late July is prime vacation time at most SOPs and we're running on a skeleton crew until next week.

If you need to speak to a member of my staff, please call my assistant Ms. Jennifer Baker at 615.460.6538. I promise that you'll speak to a informed, engaging, and encouraging member of the BUSOP family.

Does belmont accept out of state students equally to in state or is there preference for in state?

Belmont is a private school, and therefore, does not prioritize admissions by state of residence status. 👍

We welcome all....and our CO2012 demonstrates this: 75 students/15 states represented (coast to coast). It's a great mix of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences. 😎
