simple question, if you worked at walgreens as an intern (however many years [2,3,4]), when you started as a pharmacist, did your medical benefits start from day 1 or did you have to wait the 3 months also?

i asked my pharmacy manager and store manager and they didnt know the answer

It does not matter whether you are an intern or a photo technician. Medical insurance does not begin until 3 months of employment.

thank you

what a deal breaker consider other places start it on day 1

If you've worked at Walgreens as an intern prior to working as a pharmacist, you can bridge your seniority. If you have enough hours as a part-timers, you'll be able to immediately get health insurance. You'll have to e-mail your district manager about the procedure.

Keep in mind that not only must you have at least 90 continuous days of service but also average 30 or more hours per week. If you did this as an intern then genesis09 is correct in saying they may bridge your service.

dm response:

Your insurance will begin once you have a 30hr per week average for a 90 day time frame (roughly 12 weeks)

-being with the company for 5 years didnt get me jack...this is such a deal breaker, simply on the basic of principle
