Any body hear anything from berkeley yet? I see on their facebook that they've been calling people. Is it over? I haven't even received an email yet either. 🙁

I got the email. It was the only school I applied to soooo I'm pretty disappointed. I was foolish though, for not applying for more. I'm applying to some other schools right now and waiting for hear for the interviews. Is it too late you think?

that was a bad gamble in my opinion. you can't go all in like that with no other bets elsewhere on the table. better to apply to 3 and get rejected from 2 then accepted at 1 than to apply to 1 and get rejected from that 1. but lesson learned though and hopefully you get in to somewhere this year, instead of the alternative (losing a whole year and just waiting around for the next cycle to open up). best of luck!

Thanks, and for sure it was a bad gamble. But I also didn't really want to go anywhere else. Logistics and other factors made cal the best choice for me. I told myself that if I didn't get in, I'd just wait another year. I was hoping that wasn't the path but unfortunately it is. But I thought about it and didn't really want to waste a year, so despite what i thought originally- I'm going to apply to other schools.
