Private practice is the most common occupation that dentists take after school. But what else is out there?

How common are hospital positions? Are there many corporate positions (ie, colgate)? Directors of..?
 
In Canada a lot of graduates work up north in underserviced areas. Pretty good money and experience.
 
You can do hospitals, education, public service clinics, institutions (eg. prisons), military, public health....that's all I can think of

you forgot one thing: you can move to southern California and work as an over-qualified hygienist 🙄
 
You are only limited by your own imagination. Why not start your own business in precious and semi-precious metal recycling? Alternatively, you could work in lawn care, housekeeping, or supervise prison industry. If you are really lucky you can get a job as a career counselor in a high school.
